[Elizavecca] – Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask

Clay Mask that Lets You be a Cloud Troll!

One of the key things I look for in my skincare products, apart from effectiveness, is the fun factor! And this is certainly the most fun product that I currently have in my routine. I’ve not come across many other products, and none in the West, which are as interesting to use as this. It’s a clay mask which functions as a makeup remover and deep pore cleanser. But its oh so more than just your normal clay mask. Read on to find out more!

Water, Cocamidopropyl Cetaine, Kaolin, Acrylates Copolymer, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Methyl Perfluoroisobutyl Ether, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauramide DEA, TEA-Cocoyl Glutamate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Bentonite, Collagen, Charcoal Powder, Phenoxyethanol, Methyparaben, Fragrance, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Allantoin, Butylene Glycol, Lavandula Angustifolia Extract, Monarda Didyma Leaf Extract, Mentha Piperita Lead Extract, Freesia Refracta Extract, Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract, Carbonated Water.

Kaolin – This is the main clay element in the tub, sometimes referred to as China clay. It’s acne-fighting and helps to clear pores of oil, dirt and impurities.

Sodium Laureth Sulfate – This is a foaming agent found in many cleaning products. The reason I’ve highlighted it is because it can cause eye and skin irritation for those with very sensitive skin.

Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract – This is green tea extract. Green tea is a well known anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory.
Collagen – Collagen is important to help skin maintain its elasticity. I have doubts on whether applying it topically is going to be effective though.

This comes in a simple rounded tub which makes it good for stacking! There’s a mini spatula and inner lid included. Keep the inner lid, it helps stop the mask from bubbling in its tub. It’s a twist open tub which contains 100g of product.
Product & Scent

Not the most attractive looking product, it’s grey and kinda slimy looking. For a clay mask it has a surprisingly jelly like texture. The product once on starts bubbling almost immediately, and by the end you’re a cloud of bubbles.

I would say that the scent is herbal clay. It’s not overwhelming and it quickly fades once on.

Directions of Use

As quickly as you can you spread this on your face in a thin layer, about a couple of millimeters. You leave it on for 3-5 minutes to let the bubbles do their work. I would try and leave space around your eyes as once it bubbles up it starts spreading. The same goes for your nose, you don’t want your airways blocked up by bubbles. You then massage the bubbles into your skin and wash off with warm water.

You can hear the mask doing its work. It’s really fun hearing little fizzy bubbles on your skin, and it can be slightly ticklish so be warned. Highly effective at bringing all the dirt to the surface! It doesn’t remove blackheads, but it does bring them up to the surface making them easier to extract. It really did clean my skin, but I didn’t get a dry/tight feeling which can occur with some clay masks/cleansers. My skin felt smooth and soft.

Final Thoughts
I love this product! It’s not only fun to use but also very effective. I find my skin feeling super soft after using this. It cleans without leaving your skin feeling tight and dry. As someone with oily skin I’m always on the lookout for products which help with oil control and clay masks are a HG product. Although I’d only use clay masks 1-2 times a week, otherwise your skin could become dry with overuse. But I would highly recommend this to anyone, it’s great for all skin types. So what are you waiting for? Go out and become cloud trolls.

  1. Oh, I’ve been seeing this all over the place (aka instagram) and thought it would be just fun and gimmicky, but it actually works…! I mostly just use the boring good ol’ volcanic clay mask because it doesn’t dry me out, but this sounds great for switching it up once in a while this summer. (And, let’s be honest, even greater for scaring pets and loved ones!)

  2. I’ve not seen a mask like that before. Looks like the bubbles from doing the dishes or something haha I’d do it for fun too
