Another month and another exciting Etude House pink package has arrived in the post! Even better news was that it was products from the new Etude House Wonder Fun Park collection. I’ve always loved going to the fair, since I was a child and my parents used to take us all when the fun fair came to town. So it was great to relive the nostalgia with this colourful collection. Once more this is a picture heavy post! And get ready for some candy pastels coming your way.

Lash Perm Curl Fix Mascara
There are two fun pastel colours in the new Etude House curl fix mascaras, “Pang Pang Purple” and “Swing Mint”. I was hoping I’d get the purple, as I was not certain how to wear a mint colour. But it seems the universe wanted to test my boldness and gifted me mint. This is the first time I’ve tried a coloured mascara, and I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to get any pigmentation as I have dark lashes. But I needn’t have worried, this showed up after a couple of coats on my lashes. It’s a nice brush and did add lift to my lashes. It also didn’t clump and lasted ages. You definitely need a specialised make up remover to take this off, not just the usual oil cleanser.
Candy Highlighter and Brush
Rainbow highlighters were everywhere last year and Etude House have come out with their own version. It’s so pretty to look at, I just admired it for a few seconds before trying it out. The case is plastic and light, and there’s a mirror inside. It is super sheer however, I’d show you a swatch but it was really difficult to get a shot where you could tell I was wearing it! It is a very light shimmer, which is good for those who want to go for the subtle look. But for me I’m looking for a bit more pigmentation. The brush is great, it’s very soft, and the colours match the candy highlighter. It was soft on my skin, though it didn’t pick up much of the pigmentation from the highlighter unless I pressed really hard.
Dear Darling Soda Tint
Carrying on with the pastel theme, Etude House have released 10 new tones. 6 are in a cool pink & red tone, and 4 are in a warm orange & coral tone. The two shades that I got were PK001 and BL601. Both come in a clear plastic tube with a mint cap. One word of warning is make sure you mix the tint up before applying as it does separate slightly when left for a long time. I love the heart shaped soft applicator, it applied really easily and carried enough product for only two swipes to cover my whole mouth. I do use the Laneige Lip Sleeping Pack at night, which helps work as a primer before applying lip products in the morning. I would recommend wearing a lip balm before applying these tints, as they have a tendency to slide.
My favourite of the two colours was the BL601. Although it looks like a lavender colour, it’s a colour changing tint which transforms into a light pink! See swatches below.
Altogether this was a fun collection to try out, but I’m not sure I personally would buy all of these in store. The mascara is just not a colour that I could wear unless it was a fancy dress party! And the Candy Highlighter, as pretty as it is, I don’t think the pigmentation is good enough.
On the positives I loved the BL601 Soda Tint, it’s a colour that I think suits me. And one that I’ll be reaching for again and again. I also liked the highlighter brush. The bristles are soft, and the colours brighten up my vanity.
So it was a mixed box for me this time! Below is my usual Etude House look with the products from the box. I am wearing in addition to the above, Nars Foundation, Two Faced Sweet Peach Palette and Shu Uemura Eyebrow Pencil in acorn.
