One of the things which is very important to me is giving back. Whether that’s giving other people advice, or a listening ear or going out and doing something. Being a blogger has given me a great platform and voice, and I’m taking advantage of that to help raise money for Charity. This time I am raising funds for Refuge, a charity which helps victims of domestic violence. Those who feel they are trapped and have no where to turn to.
1 in 4 women in their lifetime will experience domestic violence at some point in her life. Whether it’s physical and living in fear of the next hit. Or the hidden psychological violence done, which can be harder to spot.
Refuge have a 24 hour helpline, run in partnership with Women’s Aid, have specialist community outreach workers and refuges for women & children fleeing violence.
