Giving back is one of the things I hold dear to me, and I’m in the fortunate position to have a platform to try and help others. Together with our help we raised over £1200 for Refuge in January, this time I’m raising funds for Women for Women International UK, as well as Collabo School which helps school children in Japan rebuild their lives after natural disasters.
Women for Women International helps women survivors of war rebuild their lives. We have over 20 years of on-the-ground experience working with women in countries affected by conflict.
When a woman joins their program they learn marketable skills, practical skills to do with health and what rights they have.
Once women have completed the year-long training, Women for Women continue to support their economic empowerment by connecting them to financial services, advanced business and vocational training, and support networks to increase their ability to earn, save, and access capital.
By inducing long-term change they hope to make a difference for generations to come.
So how can you help?
